DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — On Saturday morning, crowds formed in the parking lot of South Dekalb Mall in Decatur for annual NAACP turkey giveaway.
More than 1,000 turkeys were distributed to families facing food insecurities.
The event was organized by DeKalb NAACP, Huglife Cares, 100 Black Men, NCNW, Commissioner Larry Johnson, Office of the Dekalb County Sheriff, the Dream Center ATL, Radio station Streetz 945, and many others.
Georgia NAACP President Gerald Griggs joined Dekalb County NAACP President Edwina Clanton in giving back to the community. The Annual Turkey Drive has been giving back for over a decade and continues its strong commitment to the community.
