The Georgia State Conference extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and West Metro NAACP Branch as we honor the life and legacy of NAACP President Jethroe "Jeff" Moore. There is a sacredness in our tears; they are not signs of weakness, but rather of strength. As it has been said, "Tears speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, deep contrition, and unspeakable love." From San Jose, California to West Metro, Georgia, Rev. Moore carried

the banner of the NAACP, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

President Moore's contributions have left an indelible mark. As we celebrate his life, we reflect on the scripture from 2 Corinthians 5:8: "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." While we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that he served with unwavering dedication in this present age, for our great nation, and now has gained his wings. "When someone we love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure."

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, sons, and family during this time. Please keep us informed of the details for the homegoing services, as we plan to present the NAACP flag and Resolution to the family for his service. On behalf of the Georgia State Conference NAACP and the National NAACP Office, we salute the life and legacy of President Jethroe "Jeff" Moore.

Rest easy, Freedom Fighter!
