The Georgia NAACP strongly opposes any legislative efforts aimed at dismantling Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in our state. DEI is not a political talking point—it is a fundamental commitment to fairness, opportunity, and justice for all Georgians. Any attempt to weaken DEI programs is an attack on the progress we have fought for and a direct threat to marginalized communities who have historically been denied equal access to education, employment, and representation.

Georgia NAACP issues statement on DEI Bill in Georgia.

Legislation that seeks to erase or diminish DEI efforts is a step backward, undermining the very principles of equity and fairness that Georgia must uphold. We will not stand idly by as lawmakers attempt to roll back the clock on progress. The Georgia NAACP remains resolute in our mission to fight for policies that promote inclusivity and justice, ensuring that every Georgian—regardless of race, gender, or background—has a seat at the table.

We call on our elected officials to reject any bill that seeks to dismantle DEI and instead work toward building a more just and equitable Georgia for all. The Georgia NAACP will continue to organize, mobilize, and advocate until justice is secured.
