GEORGIA NAACP ISSUES A STATEMENT ON SCOTUS DECISION IN DOBBS v. JACKSON OVERTURNING ROE v. WADE.

"Over the last few months, we have watched a constant attempt to roll back rights. Voting Rights, Reproductive Rights, and fundamental Civil Rights have been targeted. As the Oldest Civil Rights Organization, We are the protector of civil rights. We understand the fierce moment of now, and we will fight vigorously to protect the rights and protections that our ancestors put their lives on the line to receive.

We understand clearly that this decision will have a grave and direct impact on the reproductive rights of Black Women. Therefore, the Georgia NAACP will do everything in its power to protect the reproductive rights of Black Women.

All the Elected officials in this state need to do something to protect all women's reproductive rights, specifically the rights of Black Women, who will be impacted the most by this decision. #DOSOMETHING."

Attorney Gerald Griggs

Georgia NAACP President.
